As a well-known, respected local native Pensacola businessman, Daniel A. “Danny” Zimmern, has had many notable contributions to Pensacola and the surrounding communities, favorably impacting the lives of many fellow Escambia and Santa Rosa County residents. In the retail sector, Danny was trusted by many franchise groups including over (30) QSR’s (Quick Service Restaurants) including Whataburger, McDonalds, Wendy’s, and others as well as, 5 full sized Publix grocery stores anchored centers using his site selection skills.

As a former Food & Beverage business owner that was developed, operated then sold a multi-location full-service restaurant, and with management and development of multiple full-service restaurants including multiple golf courses all along Florida’s Panhandle, Danny knows and has worked with many business owners and site selection teams from all business sectors.

During the height of the Gulf Coast resort / residential investment Real Estate market, Danny was a party to over 300 transactions involving investment condominiums and multiple subdivisions, multi-family, and condominium developments.

From ground-up development to revitalization of specialty properties, Danny’s reputation and resounding expertise is getting even the most complicated deals done. PENSACOLA MARDI GRAS
What started out for Danny Zimmern, President of Pensacola's Mardi Gras and Pensacola native and entrepreneur, as a group of friends helping to line up floats on parade day, quickly became a love and passion for expanding Pensacola's Mardi Gras Season.

Danny, his team, and countless Krewe members and volunteers' dedication has, over the years, watched the incredible transformation, both in the economic growth and community involvement for the City of Pensacola and Pensacola's Mardi Gras.

Danny loves telling, with great pride, Pensacola’s Mardi Gras history, the lives this event has touched and the incredible economic boost the city has seen. Starting in the late 90’s with only around 20 Krewes, who only participated over one weekend, under Danny’s leadership has seen growth to todays over 90 Krewes who make up the incredible 6-to-8-week Mardi Gras Season. The Parades, Galas and Celebrations that take place during Pensacola’s Mardi Gras events and related activities generates 10's of millions of dollars in revenue for the City of Pensacola and the surrounding communities.

As Pensacola’s Mardi Gras Krewes have grown in sheer numbers, Krewe membership in Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties have grown to over 6000. Those 6000+ Krewe members are made up of the communities most active and generous individuals, not just from a socially fun perspective, but these Krewe members are exceptionally driven in their passion to lift the community up by contributing to virtually all non-profits that are active in the Panhandle of Florida. Having such diverse groups in the surrounding Escambia and Santa Rosa County areas, means it is natural to hear about the contributions from the energy and engagement by one or more members of the Mardi Gras’ Society of Krewes who touch the lives of literally all non-profit groups along Florida’s Gulf Coast.

For over 25 years, Danny Zimmern’s leadership guiding the direction of Pensacola’s Mardi Gras, has shown that his efforts are also evident in Pensacola’s growth, jobs and business. Not that long ago, business practice experience showed employee migration was evident with people moving where the jobs are. In today’s environment, particularly how Pensacola has evolved, the jobs are going where they can find the people to hire, and with the Mardi Gras social and community growth that is a zenith of Pensacola’s quality of life, the people are here, in Pensacola, and the jobs are following.

Over the years, one can easily see an amazing transformation for downtown Pensacola, the economic boost experienced during the Mardi Gras Season and the successful thriving community the downtown area has become today.
